If you are a fan of the Smart brand, then you'll like the styling and there are plenty of quirks to distinguish it from more mundane manufacturers, although it's more conventional than Smart has been up until now. The general ambience is funky and the driving position is particularly comfortable and roomy. Some have a glass roof which adds to the airy feeling in the cabin. As with previous Smarts, the dials are easy to read and visibility is generally good.
The interior is surprisingly roomy for such a small car - The front seats fold forwards until flat allowing the rear seats to become a lounge, complete with scatter cushions - Smart really expects people to sit around chilling out in their cars. Well, don't knock it, 'til you've tried it.
